Bio

I'm a Stanford-trained psychiatrist who underwent years of specialized training in child and adolescent psychiatry after my adult psychiatry training. I believe if I want to comprehensively understand an adult mind, it helps immensely to appreciate their childhood experience. I strive to provide my patients with empathic, evidence-based, world-class psychotherapy and/or medication management.

I have been passionate about promoting mental health since I was in high school. This led me to cultivate many experiences that have helped me grow as a psychiatrist, a therapist and a person. My dedication to the world of psychiatry, particularly child and adolescent psychiatry, began with my involvement in The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) during medical school, researching Pediatric Bipolar Disorder and ADHD and presenting it at the AACAP Annual Meeting. AACAP has remained a major part of my career and I continue to stay active in the organization.

Dr. Ahmed Khan is a world renowned Stanford trained, board certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in the state of CA. He has owned his own private practice in Palo Alto for 10+ years.

Why Somethings

I only get to see teens for a limited amount of time a week. It’s often not enough and there is a lot of support that can be useful in between our sessions. Somethings mentors are able to fill the gap where I can’t be there and provide a different kind of support that is critical for teens.

Our mentors are vetted, trained, and supervised to ensure that your teen gets only the safest and highest quality experience.
